Financial Policies for Leagues and Tournaments

Financial Policies for Leagues 

League Payments 

  1. When a team registers for any League in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL) or Washington Premier League (WPL) they have committed to pay the registration fee in full, regardless if it is paid upon registration.   

  1. A $30.00 late fee may be charged to the registrant for any payments received after 10 days grace window.  

  1. For any payment that is over 30 days late, additional 20% service fees may apply. 

  1. Teams that have an outstanding balance at the start of league play shall forfeit their games until the balance is paid.  Once the balance has been paid, the games from the time of payment forward will be recorded as played.  

  1. Any teams that do not pay their balance two weeks into the season, may forfeit their spot in the league and will not be allowed to register for any future programs or leagues until all past balances have been settled. In addition, the team and its club shall be placed in bad standing which shall affect the ability of the club to register any other teams for PSPL programs or leagues. 

  1. A $30.00 fee will be assessed for any returned checks. 

Withdrawals/Cancellations 

  1. Any teams wishing to withdraw from a league must do so in writing by emailing info@psplsoccer.com  

  1. Any team that withdraws their registration prior to the final registration deadline for a league, will receive a refund less a $30.00 administrative fee.  If payment has not yet been received the team or club is still obligated to pay the $30 administrative fee.  

  1. Any team that withdraws their registration after the registration deadline, no refunds will be issued. If the fee has not yet been paid, the team or club is obligated to pay the full registration fee. 

  1.  Any team that withdraws their registration after the schedules have been posted, no refund will be issued, and the team will be assessed a $200 fee.  

  1. For teams that qualify for a refund, refunds may be issued after the conclusion of the league or tournament.  

Credits 

  1. Any team that has a credit on file due to Covid shutdown or for any other reason, may use that credit for up to 50% of the registration fee for another league. They can continue to use the credit for different leagues until the credit has been exhausted.  

  1.  League credits can be used toward other Leagues only and will expire at the end of the seasonal year unless otherwise stated.  

  1. Credits due to the Covid shutdown will expire at the end of the 2021-2022 season.  

League Cancellations

  1. If a league is cancelled at no fault of the PSPL or WPL partial credits will be issued after the start up fees for the league have been covered.
